Biotium Tyramide Amplification Kit with HRP Streptavidin and CF640R Tyramide
Tyramide amplification, sometimes called Catalyzed Reporter Deposition (CARD), is an enzyme-mediated detection method that uses the catalytic activity of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) to generate high density labeling of a target protein or nucleic acid sequence in situ. The tyramide amplification method has been reported to increase the sensitivity by up to 100-fold compared to the conventional avidin-biotinylated complex procedure. The kit contains HRP streptavidin CF640R dye tyramide. The dye has an excitation/emission of 642/662 nm. The kit contains sufficient reagent for 50-150 slides.

STEMCELL Technologies LysoBrite™ Lysosome Dye, Green, Size: 500 Tests
LysoBrite™ dyes are fluorescent dyes that selectively stain lysosomes and other acidic organelles. Due to their hydrophobic nature, LysoBrite™ dyes permeate live cells and selectively accumulate in the lysosomes via the lysosome’s pH gradient. The fluorescence property of these dyes significantly increases within the lysosome’s acidic environment; this fluorescence can be measured using flow cytometry and fluorescence imaging. Due to their selective fluorescence inside lysosomes, LysoBrite™ dyes provide low background and high contrast during imaging. They can be used with proliferating and non-proliferating cells, and are suitable for suspension and adherent cells.
Biotium Wheat Germ Agglutinin, CF568 Conjugate
This product is fluorescently-labeled wheat germ agglutinin (WGA). WGA is a carbohydrate-binding lectin that has high affinity for sialic acid and N-acetylglucosamine. WGA conjugates can be used to stain glycoproteins that have these sugar moieties. WGA can be used as a gram stain to fluorescently label gram bacteria but not gram- bacteria. WGA also binds to the bud scars on budding yeast such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae. CF dyes are Biotium's line of next-generation fluorescent dyes with advantages in brightness, photostability, and conjugate specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Red fluorescent CF568 dye has excitation/emission at 562/583 nm.

Chromeo™ P503 detects proteins and peptides by exhibiting a color change from blue to red. After binding to primary amines, it undergos a large shortwave spectral shift of more than 100nm that is visible to the naked eye. There is also a large increase in quantum yield that changes the non- or only weakly fluorescent dye into a bright fluorescent conjugate. The shift of the absorption & emission bands together with the increased fluorescence quantum yield effectively eliminates background from any unbound dye. In addition, because unbound the pyrylium dye is hydrolyzed during the labeling procedure, there is no need for purification following the simple one-step, room-temperature incubation. The labeled protein is ready to use immediately, and any possible background from the unbound dye is eliminated. Due to the unique conjugation mechanism, proteins labeled with Py-Dyes maintain their native charge and isoelectric point.
